Stage 5

Almond meal can be used as a substitute to flour. It  is easy to make and takes less than 5 minutes.

  • 1/2 cup whole almonds

Place 1/2 cup whole, almonds (with skin) in a food processor. Pulse several times until a medium-fine textured meal forms. Place ground almond meal in a flour sifter and sift almond meal. Put any large pieces of almonds back in the food processor and pulse again.

Refrigerate or freeze any unused almond meal.

Almond meal provides a great source of magnesium, which is necessary for muscular activity, and Vitamin E which helps contribute to a healthy circulatory system.
